How adhesives work

In the sticking process, the adhesive surface of the tape sticks to the surface molecules of the substrate like millions of minuscule magnets. Stronger bonds are formed where the adhesive and the substrate merge to form a strong chemical bond. WebTypically used to augment the seal or holding force of a mechanically joined assembly, anaerobic adhesives are used as threadlockers, thread sealants, retaining materials and flange sealants.
