After a bit of experimenting I discovered that it was the hairstyle I had that was bugged. After switching to a slightly different one the clipping disappeared. What it sounds like, off the top of my head, is the biped object is set wrong, either on the armor form or the armor addon (aa). First, make a backup copy of the mod.
